STUDIO ETIQUETTE & TIPS

These friendly guidelines are to help ensure that each and every student enjoys their time at White Pine Yoga.

Metered street parking is available in various locations along Pembroke St. There is also free 2 hour parking lots located in the lot north of Pembroke St. between Albert St. and Victoria St.

Please arrive 15-20 minutes before class, this allows time to sign in and prepare for class. The doors are locked once class commences, latecomers are not permitted.

If you are new to yoga, have an injury, medical condition or are pregnant please inform the teacher prior to class commencing. Our classes are open to all adults 18 years and up. Youth 14 and up may attend regular temperature classes with a parent or legal-age caregiver; Youth 16 and up may attend regular temperature classes on their own with written consent of a parent or caregiver.

Please feel free to quietly chat with friends, teachers, and fellow students in the lounge area. In the practice room please keep talking to a minimum as many students use this time for reflection and meditation.

If you are wearing your shoes you are over dressed. Help keep our floors clean by removing your foot attire at the front door in the coat room.

Turn cell phones off and refrain from bringing them in the practice room.

Avoid wearing strong scented perfumes and colognes to the studio, we try to keep scents to a minimum.

Please help keep the studio clean. Place used tea cups behind the counter and cloths can be placed in the appropriate bin after use. If you have borrowed a studio mat please wash it before rolling it up and placing back in the basket.

Show respect for your teachers and fellow students at all times.

Try to avoid eating heavy meals before class. We encourage you to use a reusable water bottle and fill up at the water station. WPY glass water bottles are available for purchase at the front desk. Tea is provided at the studio, choose your flavour and fill up at the kettle!
