300 Hour Yoga Teacher Training

We are so happy that you are here reading about our program! Did your 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training leave you wanting to learn more? This 300 hour Yoga Alliance Teacher Training program is a natural extension of our base 200 hour YTT. This year long program is a combination of in-studio learning, interactive zoom calls from the comfort of your home and pre-recorded videos to watch at your convenience. Our lead trainers Ally and Maeg are committed to offering opportunities to deepen peoples understanding and knowledge of yoga in this program.

We draw inspiration from multiple lineages to create our unique approach to teaching and practice. The heart of our program is driven by the 8 Limbs of Yoga weaved throughout our teachings. The Ashtanga standing postures are the foundational asanas we use to explore Ally and Maegs ALIGN principals for longevity in practice. Students will develop strength and stamina in their personal practice, and apply what they have learned to their teachings. Iyengar yoga influences Ally and Maegs approach to the use of props, with emphasis on optimizing alignment. Students can expect to understand how and why the body moves and gain confidence in their ability to teach asana in this program. Personal practice, peer observation, feedback and communication are key ways students develop their skills as a teacher.

Training, Techniques and Practice

Asana, pranayama and meditation are the vehicles used to explore and practice key teachings from the Yoga Sutra of Patanjali. The powerful effects of personal practice facilitate a place to teach from true understanding.

There are opportunities through out our program for trainees to refine their teaching practice. Emphasis is placed on teaching intelligent sequences, with inclusive and empowering language and anatomically informed adjustments.

Practice these techniques with your peers, while receiving real time valuable feedback from your peers and lead trainers. This will build your skills as a teacher and practitioner in warm and safe environment.

Unique to our 300hr Yoga Teacher Training is our specialized teaching seminars. Find your niche in teaching SUP, Kids Yoga, Private lessons, Senior, Acroyoga, Pre + Post Natal and Trauma Informed Yoga

Anatomy + Physiology

Anatomy lessons are scaffolded through out the program, so students can integrate what they have learned into the practical side of teaching. This will give you the confidence to teach movement, and the ability to adapt your classes to meet your students changing needs. This will facilitate growth in your personal practice as you implement your new found knowledge of your body.

Emphasis is placed on joint positioning, muscular engagement, fascia and physiology.

Yoga Philosophy

We encourage student to practice the Yamas and Niyamas through out program. We support this by facilitating discussions, and self reflective journalling on students alignment with the ethics and morals proposed by Patanjali.

Students will develop the skills to hold conflicting ideas, empathetically engage with others and reflect inwards instead of externalizing experiences.
