Have you considered starting a mindfulness practice, but aren’t sure where to begin?

Or thought you’re just not capable of quieting your busy mind or being in stillness?

Perhaps you’ve started meditating, but aren’t sure whether you’re doing it “right”.

If any of this resonates, this program is for you!

In this 6-week introductory mindfulness journey, you’ll be introduced to powerful practices that can support you in navigating challenging times and savouring the precious moments of your life. You’ll learn the basics of mindfulness meditation and how it can help you find stillness and clarity.

In an intimate group setting, you’ll learn various ways to quiet your mind and direct your attention in a deliberate manner to focus on the present experience of your body, mind, and emotions. You’ll walk away with practical tools to maintain a personalized, sustainable and nourishing mindfulness meditation practice of your own, even if you’ve traditionally found stillness challenging.

Curriculum will cover the following themes:

  • Week 1 – Introduction to Mindfulness Meditation for Modern Life
  • Week 2 – Tuning into the Wisdom of the Body
  • Week 3 – Working with Emotional Highs and Lows
  • Week 4 – Seeing Clearly: Working with Thoughts and Beliefs
  • Week 5 – Wise-Heart: The Gifts of Self-Compassion
  • Week 6 – Bringing Your Practice into your Life

Weekly classes will last 75 minutes and will include a short talk, brief periods of mindful movement, seated meditation, self-reflection and Q&A.

About Rebecca Wilson

Rebecca is a mindfulness teacher, yoga teacher (500hr) and certified leadership and life coach. She is forever a student of the wisdom traditions and studies mindfulness meditation under renowned teachers Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield.

Rebecca’s gateway into mindfulness meditation came through her yoga practice. A busy-minded and ambitious individual, mindfulness practices enabled her to slow down and begin to find refuge and clarity in the present moment. Rebecca loves helping students find practices that are adapted to their unique needs and lifestyles, meeting them where they are in their individual journeys. Her teaching style is invitational, empowering and compassionate.

Rebecca recently moved back to the Ottawa Valley after spending several years living and working in Ottawa. She now lives in Beachburg with her husband, Tyler and their daughter Ella.
